Paddle at Watson Lake – June 27
Again, social distancing at its finest. Yes, the suggestion is inflatable kayaks. Don’t knock them til you’ve tried them. Super cheap and they pay for themselves after a few trips. Of course, you SUPers, hard kayakers and canoers can join us too (you will simply go faster). In fact, find anything that floats and that you can paddle and just show up….
Watson Lake is located near Prescott. There are intriguing huge granite boulders throughout the area, some forming small little islands. This is a very popular boating (no wake zone) and hiking area and a must see if you’ve never been here. You are likely to be treated by ducks, egrets, blue dragonflies, and other wildlife.
We will leave from the Bed, Bath and Beyond parking lot at the northeast corner of the intersection of I17 and Cave Creek Highway (34750 N. Valley Parkway) at 6:30 a.m. Yes, it’s early, but it’s SUMMER!!
