Far West Ski Association’s 92nd Annual Convention will take place June 12-15, 2025, in the heart of the magnificent Coachella Valley, in Palm Springs, California. The event offers a variety of activities and opportunities for attendees. Held at the legendary and historic Riviera Resort & Spa Palm Springs, room rates are $169 per night + tax (must be booked by 5/19). Located just 15 minutes from the airport, this resort is home to the Crosby Ballroom, Tropics Lounge, Sante Spa, and two swimming pools.  No Resort Fees, Free Parking, Free use of Bicycles, Free Wi-Fi.

The Silent Auction and Trade Show is on Friday evening, June 13, and is FREE for all to attend (No Convention Registration Required).  Network with your favorite ski resorts, meet with tour operators to plan future trips for your club and council, get trip details and pricing, and participate in a fantastic Silent Auction that can bring you a variety of hardware, soft goods, and a number of adventures for the coming season. A raffle drawing will take place during the auction for two Trip Gift Certificates, valid for $250 towards one of Far West’s many skiing or adventure trips the following season.

Those that plan to arrive early for a long weekend vacation can register for optional events (register by 5/10 to ensure your spot).

Friday June 13th: Miniature Golf Tournament, Spa Day at the Santé Spa, San Jacinto Aerial Tran
Friday daytime activities will be over in time for the FREE Pool Party, at the Oasis Pool in the afternoon from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by the Club Happy Hour from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, before the evening events.

Club Members can register as Convention Delegates or choose to relax at the resort and enjoy the area.  Full Convention Registration is $190 per person by May 10 or $209 after that date.  This fee covers the Full Saturday & Sunday Program, including 4 meals.  Taking place on Saturday, we have educational workshops and presentations designed to enhance attendee’s knowledge and skills: two Snowsport Leadership Academy sessions, a Public Affairs panel on “Climate Change and the Future of Snow sports” monitored by Dave Tragethon, Far West Ski Association’s Environment Chair. The Climate Change Panel features Curtis Shuck, founder of the Well Done Foundation and Dr. Thomas Spiglanin, Director of Education of the Palm Springs Windmill Tours, while Auden Schendler, Colorado-based climate activist and author, and Erica Flieshman, Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute, will be in attendance virtually. We are honored to have as our Luncheon Keynote Speaker, Samantha DeBoer, Director of Communications for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum.  Saturday evening will be the time for the Awards Banquet, recognizing many outstanding individuals within the snowsports community, and Sunday will be our General Meeting and Elections of new officers to the Far West Board of Directors, as well as Bylaws Amendment voting.
