JUNE 7 - SEE CANYON TRAIL - LET’S GO HIKING!

Rim HikingSee Canyon Trail is a 7.6 mile long trail on the Mogollon Rim near Payson.  The trail crosses Christopher Creek and ascends into a forest of Ponderosa pine, oak and some maple and aspen trees. There are ferns and wildflowers, and plenty of shade from the grueling summer heat.  Bring snacks, plenty of water, sunscreen and hiking shoes!

We will meet on the north end of the Target parking lot in Fountain Hills at 7:00 (16825 E. Shea Blvd, FH).  To reach See Canyon Trail, travel north to Payson, then go east on State Route 260 for 20.2 miles to Christopher Creek Loop exit.  Turn left onto the loop and continue 1 mile to Forest Road 284. Continue 1.5 miles on the dirt road to the trail-head.
